Free RPG Day at I'M Board!

Do we have an epic day of gaming planned of this month’s game day!  Come and join us on Saturday, June 15th for Free RPG Day at I’M Board.  We have two very cool gaming events for you that day.

Starting at noon, we will be running Vault of the Dracholich as part of the larger D&D Next playtest.  This adventure will feature 4th level characters questing to find a hidden magic item.  This is a chance for everyone to try out the D&D Next system.  Players can either create a character of their own or use a pre-generated one.  We will spend the first 30-45 minutes on character creation and then we will start the scenario.

We will be running two tables of Vault of the Dracholich.  This means we will have a maximum of 12 total players.  The first twelve people to RSVP stating they wish to be included will be in.  To download a free copy of the playtest rules, go to:  http://www.wizards.com/dnd/DnDNext.aspx

And my friends, that is only the beginning.  We will also be running three tables of Pathfinder starting at 5:00!

We will be running a beauty from season 1 - #35:  Voice in the Void.  This is a really fun scenario and we will be running it as a level 1-2 for our newer players.

Next, we will be serving up the deadly season three #3-03: The Ghenett Manor Gauntlet.  This scenario is designed to test the mettle of characters from level 5-9.

Finally, as is becoming a Free RPG Day tradition from Paizo, we will be running the newest goblin themed mini-module – We Be Goblins Too.  This scenario will give the players the chance to play actual goblin characters in a crazy adventure.  Even though you play goblin characters, you do get a chronicle sheet applicable to an existing PFS character.

We can take six players at each of the above PFS scenarios.  The first six to RSVP for each are guaranteed a seat.  So please, RSVP right away and state your preference.

We hope to see many of you on the 15th!

Are there any spots left for ghennet manor?

    June 14, 2013

    • Joshua H.

Its close - Ghennet looks pretty full as does Voice - some slots still for Goblins II - but there may be shifting and no shows - so take a chance.

Turns out I have to work during the Janeville game day but I can get a ride to play Goblins which does not appear to be full yet.

Which event am I signed up for. I want to play Goblins too but think I am in Janesville earlier in day

    June 13, 2013

    • Alex K.

I have you down for Goblins Paul. Is that okay? The others are kind of full.

So pathfinder begins at 5pm? I hope there's enough room for everybody!

    June 11, 2013

    • Joshua H.

Ghennet is a 5-6 or 8-9 level. High probability it will be played as a 5-6. PCs level 4-7 will be allowed as long as the APL is @5. We will have pre-gens available too (probably the level 4s).

Great, I'm looking forward to it!

My wife and I would like to play The Ghenett Manor Gauntlet if there is still room.

    June 11, 2013

    • Alex K.

Aaron - there probably is. If you both do not have PFS characters of the appropriate level, then you will have to play with pre-generated characters. We also will have We Be Goblins going which is a lot of fun.

I'd like to do the PFS Ghenett Manor and/or goblin module!

Just a note if anyone wants to create their own character for the D&D Next game. The link for the rules is above. A new packet was just released a few days ago that added some additional races.

Use the standard ability score array: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8. Characters should be 4th level. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. See you Saturday!

My wife and I would like to do the D&D Next adventure

I'd be in for DND next if there is still a spot. For FPS, Ghenett Manor Gauntlet at tier 5 would be awesome.

Sorry everyone. Scratch me off for this one as I forgot about a previously scheduled engagement.

We be Goblins too. Much mayhem and blowing things up and setting things on fire. What could be better?

I'll need to talk to my friends to make sure, but I'd definitely like to try D&D next and/or the level 1-2 pathfinder. Would there be room for 3 at either of those tables?

I'd like to break my PFS cherry on Voice in the Void.

Turns out they will be running Goblins in Janesville the same day. Much closer to my home. Perhaps next month.

I'd like to play Ghenett Manor, please. However, I haven't played either of the other Pathfinder scenarios, so if the Ghenett gets overfull I'd be willing to switch.
