Gamehole Con

We hope most of you have heard of Gamehole Con by now.  We are putting on what we hope to be a truly great tabletop gaming convention.  We have every confidence that it will quickly be recognized as the premier gaming convention in our state.

While Gamehole Con will have tons of board games, collectible card games and miniature games, the focus of this Meet Up is RPG’s, and specifically Pathfinder.  Well, I can tell you that we will have the greatest line up of PFS scenarios available.  We will have more than any other convention in the region, by a long shot.  All of this thanks to our fantastic local PFS venture officers.

Over the three days of Gamehole Con, we will have 50 different tables of Pathfinder Society goodness.  This will include all of the latest and greatest season 5 scenarios along with many of the past greats.  Notably, we will be running the Gen Con PFS Special over the weekend.  This will be Wisconsinites’ first chance to play this post Gen Con.  We will also be running the dreaded Bonekeep scenario.

Beyond Pathfinder, attendees will have chances to play games involving virtually every RPG system out there from old school games such as OD&D, Call of Cthulhu and Gama World to being able to play the most recent version of D&D Next.

This will be a great weekend for area gaming and we hope that you all can be part of it.

There are some important dates I need to share with you all regarding Gamehole Con. Badges go on sale in just a couple of weeks, July 1st. In addition to the normal day badges and full weekend badges available, VIG badges will go on sale that time as well. If you have any interest in buying a VIG badge, you should do so in early July. Why the urgency? Well, that is because early event registration for VIG badge holders starts on July 15th.

This is one of the important perks for being a VIG badge holder. Not only do you get a three day badge, a Gamehole Con shirt, but you will be afforded a two week window of time to select games before normal event registration begins - all this for just $65. VIG event registration begins on July 15th. Regular event registration begins on August 1st.

For example, if you want to play in one of our special events games such as: Jen Page’s Call of Cthulhu games; Chris Perkins (the lead designer of D&D Next) D&D Next Games; Ernie Gygax’s Original D&D games; AD&D games with Frank Mentzer or take a run at the Dungeon Bastard’s Gauntlet of Doom, you will certainly be taking your chances if you wait for normal event registration to open. These events will fill up extremely quickly.

Finally, if you are local and buy a VIG badge, we will get you your most sweet Gamehole Con shirt to you well in advance of the convention itself. We are thinking about sometime in early August.

So tabletop gaming fanatics – mark your calendars and log in to the site in early July to take advantage of this great opportunity.

UPDATE - Badges are now on sale!

A quick thank you to all of you who came! We had such a good time and we hope you all did as well. Many of you have been with us since the beginning over two years ago. The Con was a complete success from our standpoint with nearly 500 total attendees. We are set for next year already. Our dates will be November 7-9 again at the Sheraton. In the meantime, as soon as we catch our breath, we will schedule some more monthly game days. Thanks again!
