Learn to Solder, Class II

Part II of Learn how to solder series will cover SMD parts. Midsouth Makers will be hosting a soldering workshop on July 20th at 1:30pm. The class will be $35 and you will be building a USB LCD backpack. Class should take 2-3 hours and size is limited to 9, so sign up today!


Q/A: What do I need to bring?

 You should bring: Soldering fine tip Iron, Flux, Solder, Multimeter, Flush Cutters, Solder Sucker/Solder Wick, and helping hands. If you don’t have these Items, no biggie, the makers have a few sets to borrow for the class.


What is SMD?

Stands for Surface mount device. These tend to be harder to solder due to the smaller size. Techniques on soldering will be covered in this class For more information on the project visit
