Midsouth Makers back in the early stages started to attend the 2600 meetings first of the month. I followed a few back to the meetings at Christian Brothers, quickly realized I knew a bunch from the eBBS days and fell in love with the group. sometime I'm to I'm over energetic, It's just I want the group to do well and willing to bleed for it. Check out some of the hacks on youtube I’ve done while a member of the Midsouth Makers.
If I'm not moving, I’m hacking or I'm sleeping, I feel I have to keep busy. I love making things out of different materials. I have animation, video making experience, and teaching experience. I Have built houses, welded Boilers, ran a small college IT department, Repair tech, CSR, Purchasing Admin, Customer Service Coordinator, and Buyer. Picking up skills and crafts seem to be my specialty. I like most kinds of art and music. I also believe in learning to expand ones abilities and futures. I dislike lazy or disorganized people. Love tech, anime, Sci-Fi, science, open source, sharing and how to's. dislike people who don't share, hide things, lazy and disorganized
Local art and tech nut. Just finished the person spinner for the 3D Scanner. Working on gun sensors, and home brew strobe lights.
Midasouth Makers are what some people call a Hackspace or a Makespace. They are loosely form on the Make movement that has been occuring for the last 5 to 7 years. There been a big surge to DIY activites and the sharing of the DIY projects. This group is not only a shared space but a group of people looking to expand what they know by looking at thier projects and other peoples projects. Colaboration on ideas or another set of eyes, they are the folks that want to take the project just one step further to customiziation. If your a software hacker, a hardware hacker, a praticing artist, the best cook on the planet, or just want to make some cool crafts. This group covers almost anything and everything thats DIY.
