Introduction
I have a busy work schedule, but I love the arts scene. Running, reading and moviegoing are probably my three biggest preoccupations, but I fit in all three during the week. I have a weakness for historical places and anything with a gorgeous view.
Introduce yourself: how old are you? (mid twenties? early thirties? etc.) what area are you from? how long have you lived here?
30. I've been living in the Houston area for about two and a half years, and I moved to Sugar Land a little more than a year ago. Prior to that, I lived in Amarillo for two years, where I worked at the newspaper. I currently work at an industrial research firm.
Where would you like to meet (general area) and how often? (ex. once a week, twice a month, once a month, etc)
I'm open to almost anything, but meeting in the museum area was what made me take interest in this. I'm already in a book club that meets once a month, so that would be fine. Or once every two or three weeks.
Any recommendations for restaurants, bars, happy hours?
Anyplace that isn't noisy, smelly, or with pounding music. Left that behind in my 20s.
Will you be willing to organize a meet up or be a leader in the group? (not required for membership, just want multiple organizers so we dont have a repeat of the last montrose group!)
Not at the moment, but maybe in the future.
