Hi Robb, this will be my first time at one of your parties. How can there be both a costume contest and all the water related activities? I definitely want to dress up, but won't be able to participate in much if I do. Do you think people will show up at 2 in costume, or should I come later on? My costume is sexy as all women's costume choices are these days. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Halloweenie! Remember MBD parties are a collective, sometimes Herculean, effort. In addition to the many preparations and expense by boat Captains, decorators, and hosts, we welcome ( encourage even ) donations of food, fun, and booze. Additionally, we offer MBD event shirts for each $20 donation. Thanks to everyone for another great year on MBD. Live Large!

@Laura...MeetUp is a much more intimate distribution...we posted a later start time on FB to drive energy for the evening festivities, but still allow a small vibe during the day. Our experience is that every party has it's own schedule...often having no relation to any officially posted times. We'll be out on the lake as early as 11am...You are welcome to join us anytime after that.

Note to Captains : It's been a wet season for us here at MBD, with many docks around lake willis at or below the waterline. Visiting Captains are asked to observe a zero-wake policy. Boats are still fun idling around the shoreline, safety meetings, and as VIP rooms, but please keep this policy in mind as You decide whether to bring your boat to Halloweenie. Thanks!

    1 · October 15

    • Steve M

is the zero-wake for just the shoreline or the whole lake?

      October 17

    • Robb E.

The far side of the lake may present a small area for ski and/or tube runs, but this is mostly a show of support...the neighbors of Lk Willis have been so tolerant of boat traffic generated by MBD. Though none have requested a no-wake zone, many have shared their fears of damage from the high water. In solidarity for those fears, we are asking for extreme care from visiting Captains. Hopefully, this September was an outlier and not the new normal.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
