Mile High Tech Message Board › Mile High Tech Agenda
Afternoon All and Welcome
Time and Date: Tuesday, October 20th (mingling starts at 6:00pm, and the event begins around 6:30pm)
Location: Denver Tivoli - Room #250, 900 Auraria Parkway Denver , CO 80204.
This event will be very different from anything New Tech Denver has done before. The goal is to celebrate all aspects of Colorado Technology: Innovation to Monetization, Green Tech to Clean tech, Biotech to New Tech and everything in between. We will run this meetup of meetups twice a year with the sole purpose of celebrating the community and the events that help us stay connected. If your group is not included, it's not to late, email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
The Colorado Department of Revenue has recently determined that a tax credit of $42,083 is available to Colorado residents who purchase, title and register a Tesla Roadster in Colorado in 2009. This means that, after the tax credits, the effective list price of for the Tesla Roadster could be lower than $60,000! Please note that this credit is active only for Tesla Roadsters registered before December 31, 2009. The credit reduces to $6,000 in 2010. Given the reduction in the credit, we anticipate significant demand for limited number of Roadsters that can physically be built and shipped into Colorado by year end. If you are interested in a test drive contact email@example.com.
The Value of Patents in Early Stage Companies
Professor Sichelman and a team from the UC Berkeley Center for Law & Technology recently conducted the first comprehensive survey in the United States on patents and entrepreneurship. After six months of collecting data from nearly 1,500 start-up and early stage companies, the research team has now tabulated and analyzed the results. Professor Sichelman will present his groundbreaking research findings on why start-ups patent and the effects of the patent system on entrepreneurial companies.
