Exploring the State of Agile: Where are we Coming From and where are we Going To

Why are you adopting Agile? What benefits are you experiencing? What barriers to furthering adoption are you encountering? What Agile methodology and practices are you using? What are the leading causes of failed Agile projects? The annual
State of Agile Survey has focused on these questions and others for the past four years. This session facilitated by
Si Alhir, principal of
Redpoint Technologies, will explore the surveys and provide an opportunity for attendees to learnfrom one another’s experiences. Copies of the survey will be on hand at the event.

Si was a very engaging speaker. Although I have almost zero knowledge of Agile methods, the presentation was very informative.

Very good overview and nice approach breaking down the data in the VersionOne survey for 2009. I appreciate it when presenters ask lots of questions and drive content based on the crowds experiences. I think the presenter did a very good job engaging the group.

The "American Option" was brought up during tonight's talk as a means of valuing Agile. Here's a link to option styles in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Option_style

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
