A Transition to Agile Delivery

IT organizations are embracing Agile and DevOps to help their businesses gain a competitive edge. The transition to agile delivery requires a practice focused on collaboration, automation, and most importantly, the ability to accurately measure performance in real time. Cars.com went from 40 releases/year to over 700 with minimal production issues.

David Beran, currently a Solution Consultant with Compuware and formally a Performance Engineer at Cars.com and Classified Ventures, was instrumental in the transformation and will discuss the specifics of how they did it.

I would have appreciated CompuWare/APM being upfront about renaming to, and owning, the Dynatrace software package they were essentially advertising.

The presentation itself lacked some focus, but a few of the audience interactions made up for it. It seems that even the basics of Agile are still not really well understood.
