Tell us a little about your experience with agile practices?

I have experience leading a Feature Driven Development (FDD) approach to a SaaS application for long term care facilities nationwide as both a Systems Architect and in this role combined with VP/Director/Manager. Currently using agile/iterative development engineering application services deployed on an enterpise appliance that support cardiovascular medical procedures and analytics. My current SDLC preference remains FDD or a modified scrum where a high-level system model and architecture/design is a component in sprint/feature set planning and review. This is not just because my professional title is solutions architect :-) but based on real-world experience on many agile projects. I remain open minded; though, and there is always more to learn...

Software Engineer and Systems Architect with a depth of experience designing and developing engineered products, software applications, and SaaS - mostly in a technical design and leadership role. Currently VP of Engineering in an R&D shop.

What Brian L. is saying about this Meetup Group

Appreciate the group and the topics and plan to continue to participate regularly if not every month. I also have a topic I'd like to present on - just need to make the time to pull everything together. I'd like to discuss my topic idea with organizers at an upcoming meeting to see if they feel it is a fit...
