What: Sex Offenders and housing - what you need to know.

Cost: Free for AASEW members, $30 nonmembers and expired members. Speaking on the subject will be Monica Lukach, Sex Offender Registration & GPS Specialist with the WI Dept of Corrections. Ms. Lukach's bio is below.

Throughout the presentation she will try to tie in how landlords can use it, what to look for etc. Also the Associations' attorney will be on hand to help guide us through this tough subject.

Ms. Lukach's bio

Since July of 1994, Ms. Lukach has worked for the Department of Corrections as a Youth Counselor at Ethan Allen School for Boys, then transitioning into a Probation and Parole Agent in 2002. From there she became a Corrections Program Specialist for the Sex Offender Registration Program (SORP) in 2005 and has been in this position ever since. In February 2013, she was given the added the duties of a GPS Specialist as well. Her professional interest lies in the area of prevention education with neighborhoods and law enforcement communities. As an agent she was a member of the Victim Forum group within DOC, as a Corrections Program Specialist she is a member with CART 2008- present, COMPAS Ambassador 2012- present, and was a member of the Sexual Assault Awareness Committee from 2005-2009.
