How familiar are you with drumming (starting, advancing, pretty good)?

I've been drumming for about 15 years but I'd say I'm always 'advancing' at it...

Do you have a drum to play that works well for you?

I have a few djembes and one hoop drum I made ;-)

What type of drumming do you like to do? (Djembe, traditional African, Native American, shamanic, bonfire, Middle Eastern, etc.)?

djembe, and freestyle? Native American-ish...I enjoy both slow, meditative drumming as well as high energy drumming.

Have you ever taken drum lessons & are you interested in lessons and workshops?

I learned the basics many years ago...and yes would be interested in learning more...and definitely interested in repairing & making my own...drums or rattles. Or any spiritual or healing with drumming/music opportunities.

Have you ever attended a kirtan event, and if so, how did you become interested in kirtan?

I LOVE kirtans. I became interested in the 90's when I lived in California. my intro to kirtan was with Jai Uttal and Geoffery Gordon and Krishna Das...and I attended Midwest Bhaktifest 2012! loved it, can't wait for more...

Hi, my name is Colleen. I own a shop in Kenosha which offers classes, events & products good for body mind spirit. I love drumming and have hosted drum circles and 'sound baths' at the shop & at the beach.
