A few spots are still available for this coming Wednesday's workshops.
Please confirm your RSVP if you plan to attend the rescheduled workshop. Thanks!
Please join us for a FREE two hour program about Immersive Environments & Augmented Reality sponsored by MCAI (Media Communications Association, Int.), MATC School of Media and Creative Arts, Digital Campfires Press, and The Elumenati. Learn from two Milwaukee based companies that are exploring these emerging technologies for marketing, training, education, gaming, and research.
Dr. D’Nardo Colucci (The Elumenati) will demo his GeoDome Panorama, and highlight creative immersive projects produced by MATC Students. D’nardo will also discuss and demo his patented display technologies and the production tools and techniques his company uses to create and display engaging interactive content in a variety of inflatable domes, portals and immersive environments.
John Grozik (Digital Campfires Press) will present examples of Augmented Reality enhanced solutions that merge existing printed materials with video and web based content. Please bring your camera equipped smartphone or tablet to personally experience a variety of AR solutions.
(Please note additional program details, photos, and resource links below.)

Immersive Environments in Room M172
Repeated at 4:15-5:00 & 5:00-6:00
Experience a GeoDome Panprama and learn how content is designed and produced for The Elumenati’s immersive environments. D’nardo Colucci will discuss how his company uses immersive environments to display engaging interactive content on a variety of inflatable domes, portals and panoramas.
The Elumenati’s collaboration with MATC started in 2009, when they provided consulting services and Unity3D content development for the Virtual Milwaukee project and formatted the content for interactive display in a GeoDome Theater. As part of its Computer Simulation and Gaming Department, MATC installed a 4 meter Elumenati Panorama in August 2011.
The Elumenati has hired two graduates from the MATC Simulation and Gaming program and continues to work with students and faculty at MATC as new models are added to Virtual Milwaukee each semester.
Augmented Reality in Room M168:
Repeated at 4:15-5:00 & 5:15-6:00
"Augmented Reality is real people in the real world interacting in real time with data enhanced displays."
Phantasmagoria, interactive T-shirts and video enhanced printed publications are three of the AR topics that will be explored during this session. Learn about such AR apps as Layar, Digimarc, AugmenteDev, Zappar, Junaio, Aurasma, and Wikitude. Please bring your camera equipped, Internet enabled, Smartphone or tablet to experience video enhanced printed publications and the free authoring options you may use to augment your own reality.
