Fringe Cameras & Support Equipment

See cameras that are off the wall, in-the wall, on the helmet and underwater. Our presenters show off their out-of-the ordinary equipment offerings, POV cameras and supports. Try it yourself with a hands-on, handheld steadi-cam demo. Paul Bodi is bringing his amazing CamBLOCK motion control system.

The presenters:
Steve Pantaleo is a straight-up wysiwyg kinda guy but his equipment inventory ranges from odd-ball to everyday. He'll be showing the oddest of the bunch with sample shots.
Paul Bodi is our local guru of camera rigs and mounting.  His CamBLOCK motion control system is the latest and greatest, but not the least of his gear.  See it here!

5:30 - 6:30 - Networking and snacks

6:30 - 8:00 presentations

Our events are normally $5 for non-members of MCA-I but if you are on the Meetup RSVP list, we will waive the fee for this meeting.  Students are always free.

There were great demos of different types of cameras and rigging equipment. The presenters made the technical info easy to understand.

Amazing and thought provoking. Opens new horizons about ways to shoot and capture visual info. The GoPro is in my shopping cart!

Excellent Meetup! Everyone was friendly and talkative. The cameras and digital devices that were demonstrated really shed light into the many creative possibilities one can do with this artform. Very inspiring!

Hey Everyone! Just checked on the PARKING situation and was informed that there is AMPLE on-street parking near the venue. Gravity Marketings' "Connect" space---which is at 305 N. Plankinton Ave. See you there. BTW, since this meetup is new, we are still using our old email RSVP system so the attendance is going to be better than what's shown here. THANKS!
