Summary of Position:

The Partner Manager will explore and develop business opportunities with Metrix’s Vertical Solutions partners, assisting in the creation of demand generation programs, supporting partner efforts, and assisting these partners as they build expertise around Metrix software.  This position will require working closely with marketing, product management, regional sales, consulting and support. This position requires frequent and consistent communication with the management team in these various departments. We desire an individual that has a sales background, interacts well with pre-sales teams, understands information technology, and has the capability to demonstrate software.  


Job responsibilities:


The Strategic Partner Manager will perform all or some of the following activities:

Coordinating the support of these reselling organizations for sales activities, customer implementations, training, and post implementation support


The candidate should be comfortable managing multiple activities.  The successful candidate will be required to have detailed working knowledge of the Metrix application, how they are configured for specific vertical markets, working with various sales resources, consulting resources, and the Metrix support organization.  This individual with work with the Marketing department to create specific sales campaigns and marketing themes.  This candidate will advocate on behalf of our partner organizations with Product Management.  The candidate will be self-driven, organized, and creative, have outstanding technical and people communication skills, and be able to work under minimal supervision with conflicting priorities.


The successful candidate will have: 

  • Sales or marketing experience with some business development
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to approach problems from a business perspective.
  • Proficiency in MS Office personal productivity tools
  • Ability to discuss systems and IT capabilities with partners
  • Some background in product demonstrations
  • Above average listening, written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience with maintaining detailed records in the CRM system ( and reporting to senior management on achievements, partner progress and partner based initiatives
  • Demonstrated written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel
