Take A Talent? Leave A Talent!

**** It's Bartered Services -O- Rama ******
Barter Network Event

Everybody's got something to offer - maybe you've been kicking around an idea to start a new business? Maybe you need to get some help with something - Here's your chance to act on that!

In times like these, we all need to stretch our resources, share, barter and help one another as much as possible. This is a special edition community Meetup for ALL our members - in the spirit of holiday cooperation AND just plain old GETTING STUFF DONE!!! ---- AND possibly making new connections for extra income during a career transition... there is a lot of opportunity in connecting with people!

Bartered Services - O - Rama is swapping of talents and services for non-professionals, or small business professionals willing to barter their services in exchange for others' services.

There are some rules for this event:

All attendees must state a service they can provide AND / OR a service they are looking for. Of course, there's no obligations here, even if you're only just checking out the possibilities, but please be receptive

All attendees must be willing to first attempt a BARTER or even exchange of services (i.e. : You walk my dog while Im on vacation and I'll photograph your parent's anniversary dinner) BEFORE there is discussion of any type of fee.

All attendees agree that we. as organizers, are not involved with or moderating the arrangements made between parties, and are not responsible in any way for agreements made between parties, or in fulfilling any obligations related to agreements. We do not endorse any individual ...

Here are some ideas to think about in terms of what services can be barterred:

  • Snow removal / plowing
  • Interior decorating or organization services
  • Help with event planning
  • Photography / Graphics Design / Videography
  • DJ Services
  • Tailoring / Seamstress
  • House or Office cleaning
  • Personal Shopper / gift wrapping
  • Office or Temp help
  • Pet sitting
  • Carpenter /handyman /plumber /electrical help
  • Fishing lessons
  • ********* YOU GET THE IDEA! **************

When you RSVP, we will ask you to list some possible services you would provide, and also any services you would be looking for. We will provide lists at the event - so people can find one another!

We are getting together at the BEAUTIFUL and HISTORIC Charles Allis Art Museum - all decked out for the holidays! We will provide music, a cash bar and (hopefully) h'ors d'oevres to accompany your productive barter networking!

The Charles Allis Art Museum ? a vibrant, urban center for Wisconsin artists ? continually strengthens and supports the Milwaukee community by elevating the visibility of local talent through its sponsorship of changing exhibitions featuring Wisconsin artists.

At the Allis there is an emphasis on fine art ? drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Charles and Sarah Allis generously bequeathed the home and its collection to the public to "delight, inspire and educate." The Tudor-style mansion is intact with original furnishings and an art collection spanning more than 2,000 years.
