I have no favorite topics. I enjoy books that are well written, introduce me to subjects I know nothing about, force me to think about things in a different way and present more questions than answers.
Again, I am not a fan of favorites. Most of the reading I have done has been fiction in foreign languages.
A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century; Economics as Religion: From Samuelson to Chicago and Beyond; A History of God: The 4,000 Year Quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam
The books and discussion seem very interesting. Past book clubs I have belonged to read mostly popular fiction which I didn't usually enjoy. On rare occasions when a book I thought was interesting came up, most members of the club didn't read it.
I live in Fox Point. Prior to moving to Wisconsin I lived in Europe for 14 years. My background is in economics and I have worked in both the public and private sector.
