Introduction

I'm the organizer of the Madison PHP Meetup Group. When I'm not running the group I'm working for Brazen Careerist.

Describe your PHP Experience

I've been doing PHP development professionally since 2003. In that time I've built custom content management systems, intranets, e-commerce sites, collaboration software and now a social network.

Are you using PHP 5.3 now?

Some of my servers are running it but I haven't started leveraging the new features.

Areas of Expertise (PHP, HTML, JS, SEO, etc)?

PHP, MySql, WordPress

Career Status (freelance, full time, looking, etc)?

Full Time at Brazen Careerist

Which do you count to goto sleep: sheep or elephant?

Neither. If I need to fall asleep I just empty my mind and focus on my breath.

Thanks I would love to speak. I am on the verge of releasing a project I have been working on for a long time that does some pretty fun stuff with generating PHP code. Would there be any interest in me speaking on code gen? What other topics would the group like to hear about?

Andrew - I'm brand new to phpBB - although I've been developing in MS Access for 15 years and have minimal experience with SQL and MySQL. I just have some questions about uploading images into PhpBB and using my image for the logo. Do you know anyone I can correspond with?

Hello from Milwaukee. My name is Joel and I am an organizer for the PHP user group out here. Perhaps we could do some cross-promotion and strengthen both groups. We recently had a visiting speaker from Zend (Kevin Schroeder) and we have a Microsoft speaker (Josh Holmes) coming in November. I know it's a bit of a drive between our cities, but we have people showing up from Green Bay and Chicago, which are even further away. Drop me a note and let's chat. Thanks!
