Milwaukee Developers + Milwaukee Nonprofits Mashup Project

Hello Milwaukee PHP Users, I'm working on a project to bring Milwaukee Developers & Milwaukee Non-profits together to solve community issues.

Hi my name is LD Freeman. I started the Milwaukee Creators Professionals Group ( because I wanted a professional creators organization that went beyond sitting at meetings and listening to presentations to actually hands-on solving local non-profit organizations' business problems.

As you can see I don't have a fancy name/mission statement, flashy website (that's why I'm using Facebook), and definitely don't have any membership dues.

But what I do have is a dream. A dream that creators of all disciplines (programmers, web designers, graphic artist, advertisers, marketers, public relations, publishers, writers, and everything in-between) come together to share, trade, and collaborate with local non-profits.

The basic concept is non-profits will submit projects to the group, members will vote on projects they want to work on based on interest and skills, and that team will create a deliverable business solution. Projects can range from anything to setting up a website, event planning, creating software solution, and everything in-between.

It's a great way to meet your next business partner or key people in the next company you want to work with, learn a new skill or sharpen an old, and most importantly give back to the community we all love.

If you share this dream. Please join the group and become a part of the grass root movement that started in Milwaukee and went International!
