Saturday December 1 is the Paramount Tall Club of Chicago's Christmas party, but some people may not be able to go as is the case with your host having to play this concert. I would urge anyone interested to check out our other event for this day, carpooling to Chicago. However, if you still are not going and available, consider what follows.
Any by the way. the orchestra needs ushers as usual, so if you want to go to the concert free in exchange for ushering, contact me at least by Nov 20th so I can set you up with my orchestra's manager.
Start by finding parking near the restaurant or the Basilica. Share a wonderful Serbian dinner with friends like the world's tallest violinist? at Old Town Serbian Gourmet House (for review see http://www.jsonline.com/entertainment/dining/87360357.html) at 522 W Lincoln starting at 5:30 so the musician(s) have time to eat and get to the concert warmup in time. If the musicians at the restaurant are not there, someone from the concert later may play something to make up for it.
At the end of everyone else's leisurely dinner, cross the street over to The Basilica of St. Josaphat for a concert of the Concord Chamber Orchestra featuring featuring Bob Syverson, trumpet soloist, and the Lutheran A Cappella Chorus and Bach Chamber Choir – Christmas just doesn’t seem complete without brass instruments, and we are delighted to bring you the gift of brass music this holiday season. Two choruses will combine to provide our traditional choral finale with some classic Christmas favorites, in the glory of the Basilica. Go out afterwards.

This is a joint meetup with the Boomer Cohorts group.
