Hello Wine Enthusiasts!
There is still plenty of room and a little time left to sign up for the 4th of July wine tasting and sharing event being held at Erika and Dan's home in Cedarburg. Remember that this is a day time event only and you will have plenty of time afterward to make it to your evening plans. RSVPs for this event close late on Monday.
We also still have room for our July Demi event at the Boerner Botanical Gardens. This event should suit a myriad of preferences with regard to your palate and pocketbook. There is still plenty of time to sign up.
I see we have a few more spots left available for our Eat Dessert First event at Coopers Hawk. My meeting with them was postponed, and I hope to have more details posted with regard to cost by around the 10th of July.
I am currently working with Thief Wine Bar in Shorewood for our Demi event for August and as soon as details have been ironed out about that I will post that event.
Unfortunately the Milwaukee Wine Festival has been postponed until 2013. That's right. No Milwaukee Wine Festival this year. : ( Bummer! I was hoping to secure some discount tickets and have this serve as our Magnum event for August.
Well, I guess this is just another opportunity for us to have our August Magnum event in one of your homes or condo/apartment rec centers! There is still plenty of wonderful weather for us to enjoy in August. Who is up to hosting an event in their home? As the host for this event you get to pick the wine theme. I will cover all the details, post the event, secure any supplies necessary and arrive early to assist. Even if you live in a condo or apartment and there is a small rental fee for the space we can usually handle that as well. If you need help with food, let's plan a potluck. I am looking at either Saturday the 18th or 25th. Will one of those dates work for you? If it does, please contact me via email through our website. You just need to click the the little envelope under my photo on the left side of our webpage. Don't worry. Everyone is tasked with BYOB to these events so you won't have to supply a Methuselah.
Our wine word for the week...
Methuselah: While not of the oldest or most Biblical of proportions where wine is concerned, a large bottle holding six litres, the equivalent of eight regular bottles of wine.
In Vino Vertias!
