Hello Wine Enthusiasts!
Just a reminder that the wine tasting opportunity for March at the Ruby Tap is fast approaching. There is only one spot left! If you are interested in attending this tasting reserve your spot soon or place yourself on the waiting list if it fills up quickly. If your plans have changed, please update your RSVP by the end of the day Thursday, March 21st. I need to provide a guest count by Friday morning.
I will be emailing those members within the next couple of days whose annual fees are due or who have already attended their first event and need to bring their membership fee current prior to attending the Ruby Tap tasting. If you think that might be you or are not sure, please be on the look-out for an email from me.
March Wine Madness is nicely underway and the next set of votes are not due again until March 24th. So, enjoy your St. Patty's day weekend with a pint of beer (or if you're me - a glass of Rielsing or Gewurztraminer). Tomorrow the Final Four tasting event scheduled for Saturday April 6th will be open for anyone to reserve a spot. Just remember that directly after reserving your seat you will need to click on the link to Ray's Wine and Spirits to pay for the event for you and your guests.
I have approached Chez Jacques in Walker's Point about putting together a 3 - 4 course food and wine pairing dinner for our April wine tasting event and I am glad to report that he and I will be meeting next week to begin this collaboration. This event will likely be scheduled for an evening in mid-late April. As many of you may recall, last year I polled our members about this type of event and I will be using that data to help develop the menu and pricing, with Jacques' help of course. I hope to have this event posted within the next couple of weeks. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it!
In the meantime, I fíon tá fírinne (Gaelic's version of In Vino Veritas)!
Have a Wonderful St. Patty's Day Weekend!
