Rodizio Grill Milwaukee

Different restaurant, but same concept: A Rodizio Grill opened in the former Sabor Brazilian Churrascaria space downtown on Dec. 6, the first Wisconsin restaurant for the Utah-based chain.

The franchisee opening the Milwaukee restaurant is Oshkosh-based Supple Restaurant Group.

Rodizio Grill operates in the same format as Sabor, with waitstaff dressed as gauchos wielding skewers of grilled meats that are served tableside.

One price -- $31.99 at dinner-- includes unlimited appetizers, salads and grilled meats. The salad-bar-only option is $18.99 at dinner.

“Rodizio Grill is an incredible addition to our group,” Supple Chief Executive Officer Jay Supple said in a written statement. “We were looking for a fun, growing concept that we could bring to the community of Milwaukee. Rodizio Grill provided that opportunity and we could not be more excited to enter this new venture.”

Supple is a family-operated business founded in the 1960s. The group also owns Fratellos in Appleton and Oshkosh, Fox River Brewing in Appleton, a Melting Pot in Appleton, Golden Corral in Oshkosh and Plover, and Red & White wine shop in Appleton, as well as hotel franchises.

Rodizio Grill was founded in 1995 in Colorado by Brazilian native Ivan Utrera.

The food was excellent. The experience is quite fun, with the carvers coming by about every 2 minutes with something new to try. You must arrive hungry!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
