  • Once again my favorite restaurant in the Milwaukee area....This is a great one for parents. You can join us for a fabulous flight meal of mini-plates. Childcare is available in a separate children's party room/arcade.

Diners will be able to choose entrées from the restaurant’s contemporary American menu or order them as small plates, or in flights of three small plates designed either by executive chef Justin Disbrow or by them. Options can be ordered with wine or beer pairings; 40 wines will be available by the glass. “We want to be able to offer people variety, options,” Manner said. The average price of full-sized entrées would be less than $20. The gastropub will have a separate menu. Diners will find eight TVs, eight craft beers on tap, a full bar and a wine bar, where guests can try charcuterie or cheeses. While the gastropub’s décor will lean toward steel and dark woods, the restaurant will have views of the pool and the nine-hole golf courses. At the Nines’ center will be a tree sculpture; banquettes will surround it. One unusual aspect is a 4,000-square-foot children’s activity center that includes a theater, games and golf simulator, where children can play while parents have dinner, Manner said. Children can have their meal in the activity center, or they can join their parents for dinner. The dining room will seat about 100, with another 30 on the covered patio and 40 to 60 in the gastropub. The restaurant has a vegetable and herb garden on the property; the Nines also would seek out other local ingredients, including Wisconsin pheasant for a quesadilla with house-made queso fresco, for example. The menu is here http://www.riverclubofmequon.com/getmedia/a36a9a8d-5480-4483-968d-5fbea8aa7591/front-and-back-nines-menu.aspx

The costs for children is listed below:

The costs are very reasonable as the party room and childcare are top notch. As a parent you can be sure that your child will be properly supervised while having a great time.

The difficult part is that children never want to leave this room!

    Playdium Pricing:
Pizza and soda - $5.00 per child
    Non-member guests at the Playdium:
First hour free of charge /$10.00 per hour (total family charge per hour)

I've been there once and had a very good time. I will not be bringing children.
