The Five O’Clock Steakhouse

Since 1948, formerly as Coerper’s Five O’Clock Club, this steak house remains a timely Milwaukee culinary fixture, a happy caravansary where meat rules. The name came about years ago when an alarm clock behind the bar rang at 5 p.m., signaling a free round for guests. All the steaks here are served with butter sautéed mushrooms, just as they should be. Bacon-wrapped filets, with Bleu cheese topping and Parmesan cream sauce demands an amble home, just to clear the arteries. Dinner comes with a monster tossed salad and the requisite relish tray.

Well, you know what Freddie Mercury always said....
"This thing called work I just can't handle it
this thing called work I must get round to it
      I ain't ready
      Crazy little thing called work..."

So sorry to cancel my reservation for tomorrow night. Came down with the flu on Thanksgiving. I'm afraid I'm not yet ready for a meal beyond jello and chicken broth. Have an enjoyable time everyone, and hope to see you soon.

Hey, Paul, that was pretty good. Have you ever considered writing a book?

Okay... I feel this event needs some boosting... So......

I will think of the movie "Goodfellas."

"Satirday nights were the best. We'd meet for steaks.... There was me - Paulie two times, cuz I said things twice... "Gonna get the papers...get the papers..."

There was Tina... she was on the fringe, but we all loved her - she knew her steakhouses... There was Al.. He drove Harleys, and he had connections all over the country....

Anita? Forget about it.... And Jean Frechette? she seemed quiet, but when we needed to call in a hit... Well.... quiet is best.

    Dori was our concierge...

All in all, we had a good crew. And on this night? Karon and Michelle..... LOL Not to scare you off. Just writing. :) it'll be fun!!
