Hello WordPressers,

I wanted to let everyone know about an awesome event coming up this Thursday.  Our own, John James Jacoby will be presenting for AIGA on "The Evolution of WordPress."  Many of you have seen John present at our meetups and WordCamps around the country.  He always gives a good talk and he probably knows more about WordPress than anyone I know.

Here are the details from AIGA:

The Evolution of WordPressThursday, November 21, 2013

If you've ever been asked to help build a friend's photography website or set up your parent's travel blog, odds are you turned to WordPress to find that easy to use, nice to look at webpage. But have you ever wondered how this platform came to be such a giant in our modern day, software-centric world?

Join AIGA Wisconsin at the Urban Ecology Center next Thursday to learn the juicy back-story of WordPress and get insights into the software that powers 20% of the top ten million sites on the internet. You don't want to miss this intimate fireside chat with John James Jacoby, Director of Web Engineering at 10up.

You can get all the details and RSVP here: http://wisconsin.aiga.org/event/the-evolution-of-wordpress/

This is being put on by AIGA, but it's something we thought our members would like to know about.  They are charging a small fee for the talk.

$5 / members
$10 / earlybird (until midnight November 20)
$15 / day-of and at-the-door

Also, because of the Thanksgiving holiday coming up and some other obligations, we will not be having a regular WordPress Meetup this month.

Hope to see you all soon!
