I had an absolutely wonderful time and I hope the Zoom Room continues to run the small dog socials. This is a great opportunity for my dog to burn off some steam and get more comfortable around other dogs. I was shocked to see some of the comments below. I'm pretty sure I was at the same event and my experience was completely different. I felt incredibly welcome and there were wonderful people and dogs there. Gretchen did a WONDERFUL job and kept a watchful eye on all the dogs. She managed to slow them down when they got a little too crazy...my dog included. I took no offense to her slowing my dog down when it was necessary. This is after all her area of expertise.

For those who have not tried the Zoom Room, you most definitely should. Come to your own opinion. For those that had an issue, maybe you should call the business to discuss your concerns before blasting them online.

I am going to bring my other small dog Casey, he has some issues too sometimes. He loves people but he is very needy for attention, and gets jealous of other dogs. I spoke to Gretchen, and I am going to bring him. I would have had him Sunday if I would have remembered to get his vaccination records on time. I hope he does well, but if he's obnoxious I will just take him home. I will arrive early and talk to her about how to handle things.

Good luck. I really hope it does work out for you. At least with us, it appeared that if your dog was not perfect, you weren't welcome.

OMG! Lighten up Jon and Gwen "who will never come back" spread the word that Zoom Room is unfriendly, intolerant, etc. Pffft.! We are dealing with animals. They are not always "on." And do not EVER use your dog's BREED as an excuse for their behavior at any given moment. That is lame, lame, lame.

Exactly. They are animals. This could have been handled differently, but it was handled in a rude manner. When we take our dog to other socials, we get help-not asked to leave. Once again, she is a 4lb yorkie. I know....she is intimidating.

we were at the zoom room for 15 minutes, and were asked to leave because our dog barked at another dog. She weighs 4.5 lbs, and is a baby yorkie. We also came in with her on a leash, and was immediately told how to handle our dog. It is our dog. I think we know how to handle her. We will not be back at the zoom room, and I will tell all my friends.

Truthfully, I witnessed your pup bare her teeth at my mill dog who was sniffing her.

dogs do that sometime. Was your dog in danger? Was it bit? Every time a dog bares its teeth you freak out? I think you are the one that needs to lighten up.

I was only talking about my experience today and it was my own opinion to say I will not return if you like it please continue to go but don't judge me because I commented on the way I felt I was treated. If you don't like my comments don't read it and don't respond because I no longer will participate in this discussion I suggest you all do the same and move on. Goodnight

Wilson is awesome! Nice to meet you two!

This was one of the best times for Wilson. The group was calm and he was in high spirits. He seemed so confident and at ease which can be a problem with him. I really appreciate the opportunity to bring him to these gatherings and enjoy meeting the people I meet. I hope those that were discouraged will give these wonderful gatherings another chance.

Eva is very shy but I think these meetups are great for her. I am looking forward to bringing my medium sized dog to one of these, as well as my other small dog Casey.
