Join our 8 week Meditation and Mindfulness training course level 2
starting on Tuesday the 9th of September 2014
(two month previous mindfulness practice or equivalent experience required)
Time: 19.00 till 21.00
The mindfulness course level 2 deepens and develops the skills of mindfulness learned in the previous course. If you have some other previous experience already you can also join.
The course investigates what are known as ‘The Four Foundations of Mindfulness’, namely awareness of body, feelings, thoughts, and lastly all else that is present in our current experience with a wide open awareness. In other words, we learn to apply the sense of calm and stillness that we have learned to a broader sense of our environment and others.
We develop the skill to be aware of the world around us in a way that is not grasping or, on the other hand, vague or ill defined. We learn to allow the mind to be “not too tight and not too loose”. By discovering this ability we can be more effective, helpful and empathic in our everyday interactions.
We will also explore investigative meditation and loving kindness practice in the relational field.
