Being Mindful Parents means we strive to be in the moment. When we let go of comparisons, expectations and judgements we are free to be in the moment and experience more joy in our lives. As Mindful Parents we aim to be authentic, open-minded, heart centered, balanced, and practice being in integrity.
We are very aware of the stressors in todays society and want to create a space where individuals and families can relax, rejuvenate, and have fun. We believe that this can be obtained by first being present with ourselves, our children and then with others. We can achieve this by shutting off our phones, taking nature hikes, family potlucks, meditating and spontaneous playdates among other wonder-filled activities.
We have events for the entire family on the weekends (at least 2 per month), playdates during the day for stay-at-home parents, and adults night out in the evenings. As the old saying goes: It takes a village to raise a child! We want to create a village so that moms, dads and children feel connected, valued and cherished. The world is made up of all types of families and we welcome diversity.
