Beginners Mindfulness and Meditation (for average humans)

Beginners Mindfulness & Meditation

(FYI I'm a beginner)

I'm special, but nothing more special than any of you.  When it comes to mindfulness and meditation, I'm definitely nothing special. Which is what makes learning from me so great.  I'm just like you.  I don't have any fancy certifications, I don't come from a lineage of saints, and I haven't been anointed by any masters.  I'm just an average human who has learned to be mindful and meditate on my own, and I want to share this information with you.

For most of my life that I can remember, I've always been interested in spiritual teachings, but specifically meditation.  Like many of you, I might be what you call a "seeker."  In my seeking, I came across all kinds of teachers and teachings, some of which you may be familiar with, such as Jack Kornfield, Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, Eckart Tolle, and many others.  I dabbled in Zen teachings for a time, and Buddhist teachings for a time.  I've read countless books, and listened to countless audios on meditation and meditation instruction.

But with all this information, again like many of you, I felt like a complete mess when it came to meditating.  I broke all the rules.  I fidgeted.  I daydreamed.   I got irritated.  I gave up after seconds of beginning.  I felt so horrible at it that I actually almost dreaded making myself sit down for my sessions.  Add to this I hadn't figured out my nutritional path yet, and so my mental and physical vibrancy were nowhere near what they are now, so I didn't even have the capacity to sit for any period of time.

Fast forward several years, and I finally have my own understanding of what mindfulness and mediation really are.  I finally understand the teaching beyond teachings, that all these other books and methodologies were trying to explain to me.  I have a solid daily practice that has enhanced and enriched my life beyond words.  EVERY aspect of my life.  And, like many of my nutritional and fitness concepts, I've now boiled this down into an easy-to-understand presentation, and a methodology that is easy to implement, for people that are just average humans like me.

So come join me in this class and kickstart your practice with confidence.  In this class we will learn together:

what is mindfulness?

how we can use mindfulness to improve the quality of our lives.

with so many different practices, teachings, and instructions, what is meditation, really?

how we can use meditation to to improve the quality of our lives.

a simple, step-by-step daily meditation guide that you can start using NOW.

This is a beginners CLASS so there will be instruction, but there will also be practical exercises as well, so we will be meditating and we will have fun.  I'll also have some nifty handouts and summaries for your convenience.
