Mindfulness and Self-Compassion

Feelings of unworthiness and self- judgment are a main source of pain in our life. If we want to open our heart to others we first have to make that gesture to ourselves. In this course we will look into the causes of self-rejection and self-judgment and learn methods to transform these habits and thereby change how we relate to others. The course is a step by step journey towards self-compassion and kindness.

Self-compassion can be learned by anyone. It involves generating feelings of kindness and care toward yourself as a imperfect human being, and learning to be present with the inevitable struggles of life with greater ease. This course will provide you with simple tools for giving yourself the support you need whenever you suffer, fail, or feel inadequate.

We all want to avoid pain, but letting it in – and responding compassionately to our own suffering – is an essential step toward living a happier, more fulfilling life.

In this course you will learn:

  • how to stop being so hard on yourself
  • how to be kinder to yourself
  • how to handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • how to motivate yourself with encouragement rather than criticism
  • mindfulness and self-compassion practices for home and everyday life
  • how to liberate yourself from the judge within

We will work with meditations, exercises and dialogues. The emphasis is practicing in daily life.
