Natural Mindfulness – Resting in the open heart

We often imagine that it takes years of intense practice to find peace. That we have to be in a dark cave to find true wisdom and compassion. Or at least sit on a cushion for a very long time. But there are other options.

Natural Mindfulness is a way to connect with contentment, silence and inner peace – using everyday life as our practice field. It invites you to let go of all effort to be or become anything other than who you are right now and to experience that there is nothing to do in meditation. This will give you a taste of genuine fulfillment.

Buddhists have known for centuries that happiness is not about getting something or being someone. It’s about letting everything be as it is and connecting with an open heart. Here the wish for change comes from a deeper wiser place in you. And decisions arise in a more organic way.

Natural Mindfulness is a radical approach based on Tantra to rest in the open heart space. In the very nature of your being. In what is sometimes called non-dual awareness, Buddha nature or no mind.

This course is an invitation to connect with your innate ability to be at ease. A key in the course is to become aware of how you can move between more contracted and more expanded states of mind in moments of emotional turmoil.

We will use silence, self-inquiry and dialogues. For support you will receive audio tracks and exercises to play with during the week.

The course draws on Peter Fenner’s Radiant Mind and uses methods of the Mahamudra lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, the Koan Tradition of Zen, Christian Mysticism and Western Psychotherapy.

Dates: 6 Wednesdays, 23 Januar – 27 February; 18.00 – 20.00

Course Fee: 1200 kroner, 800 kroner for students or unemployed
