The Astoria Bookshop is hosting a monthly mindfulness meditation class. Here is the description on their website. (Please note that the class is being taught by me, the meetup group organizer. In the future, I hope to post events being hosted by other teachers in the neighborhood as well.) So come by for the class, (7-8:30pm) and whoever would like to can come and get tea or a bite to eat afterwards somewhere close by and we can continue the discussion!
Come down to the Astoria Bookshop to breathe, get curious about our minds, learn the basics of mindfulness, and practice meditation with the community.
The evening will consist of guided meditation practice, a talk on a topic related to mindfulness, and plenty of time for questions and discussion.
No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation necessary.
$5-$10 suggested donation.
