Singles Mingle & Comedy Show

One Night Stand Up

Singles Mingle & Comedy Show

A couple that laughs together, stays together!

Mingle Around will be mingling with an interactive ice breaker at the Laugh Factory. Join us from 6-7:30 to mingle and flirt with other local singles and then stay for the 8pm standup comedy show. By then you should have found a great date to seat next to for the 8pm show!

Age range of this event is 28-52, though all ages over 21 are welcome.

Our ice breaker is a fun and flirty way to meet everyone at the event. Women will receive a nut and men receive a bolt. Mix and mingle with the crowd until you found your matching hardware set.

The best attitude was from a woman:

I’ll go out with anyone who asks me.
    With most, I’ll do a 2nd time.
Heck, they may have been having a bad night the 1st
    time.
If I go out with them a 3rd time, that means I like them.

    ---- ++

    For what it’s worth, my rules of thumb;

    1) I’ll only call a girl and leave a message twice.
(assuming I get her voice machine).
No return call means no interest.
No harm, no foul. 2) If I say “let’s do XYZ on ABC day”,
the ball is in her court.
If she doesn’t at least come back with a counter proposal,
    then she’s not interested.
Like “I can’t do ABC day, but how about JKL day?”

    3) If she sez she’s real busy these days,
    that means no interest.

    4) I know I'm significantly older than most women there.
So I try to be cautious asking for phone# .
It's all in genuine FunShip, friendly-ness.

    Jill,
    .

You may want to suggest this mindset:

    1) Do not expect to meet "the love of your Life"
    2) Giving someone your card does NOT mean you want to have sex.
It simply means you'd like to talk to them again.
That you found something about them interesting or nice about them.
It’s not even a commitment to meet them in person.

    3) Be open to making friends, of both sexes.
You may wind up with a friend to do other stuff with,
Like inviting them to other meetup’s that are not dating focused –
    -- become Wing-men/Wing-woman.

    Jill, good seeing you again.

but..... no fair you commenting on your own event! :-)

I had fun. It was fun to observe who laughed at what.

My suggestion to make all your events better:
    1) Put out blank business cards ( "Approachable cards")
    2) People put their name and phone number on them.

Rule #1: you can hand them out to anyone, anytime

Rule #2: the recievers response is "thank you".
They are NOT allowed to give their card AT THAT Time.

Rule #3: The reciever can give their card later on.

This worked at singles events I did years ago.

    Your phone number is safe.
No one can stalk you by having your cell phone.

I really like having something else (entertainment) going on, like the comedy.
Or some music. Until next time,
    Bob (773)[masked]

There is street parking if u can find it. Also a lot up the road just south on broadway where u pay by hour. Or a huge lot nxt door for $12. Also its a quick walk east on belmont if u take the red or brown line to belmont stop :)

If I can't make it till 8:30, do I still have to pay the full price of $20? Will there be much mingling left to do at that point?

will they have seating, for all of us, at the time of the show? (...since you can purchase VIP in advance which guarantees a seat, & the rest is standing room)
    thnx
