Mingling's Bootie Shaping Trek at Roswell's Vickery Creek Covered Bridge!

Hello Mingling Trek Boogie'in Hounds:

Join your Mingling & 40 or so, 35Up MeetUp friends at the World Famous, Roswell Covered Bridge for an awe inspiring 5 mile Bootie Shaping Trek. Respectfully, continuing our trail scooting, before, you start hooting about your winter bootie pack! ....:) :)

We will meet up at 3:30 P.M., at the Covered Bridge Trail-head for Vickery Creek (w/2 new restrooms). (Note: We have a new trek to add. It was renewed by our Roswell trail rehabilitation volunteers. This new trail has a new Eagle Scoot project bridge, we will be crossing, as well.)

This will be a new 5 miles stretch, to continue preparing our Spring booty! & of course, we will be watching closely for Vickery's Great Blue Heron along this beautiful creek feed into the Chattahoochee. Mingling's trail scoot & Great Blue Heron search will begin at Vickery’s beautiful Covered Bridge, and with the exception of a few short steep stretches alongside the creek-ravine bluffs and gorges, the terrain is fairly level. (Easy Level D-2) We will include a stop at the spillway dam, which fed the mill wheel in a factory downstream. Supplying textiles for Confederate uniforms, the mill was a primary target for Gen. William Sherman whose troops destroyed the facility during the Civil War. The trails along Big Creek are very scenic with the sound of a rushing mountain creek and waterfall. The search will be led by Memphis Russ, a seasoned explorer with intimate knowledge of the Vickery Creek Trials.

**Please try to arrive by 3:15 p.m., so we can start the hike at 3:30 p.m. on the dot :)

Awesome Seeing, New & Old friends! We didn't find any Roswell Mountain goats, however, we cruised their trek! See More photos on 35 Up, Meetup.com

Ok Trekkers> Weather is, to be, awesome! 63* & Sunny! I'm wearing comfortable shorts. We should get about 70 attendees by event time, even though, 95 are currently scheduled to attend. Reminder: This is primarily a social hike! We put a fast scooter in front, Harley me-in the middle & a chatty mo-ped bringing up the rear. So, bring a patient heart to help us all finish, happily, with many new friends! We do stop 4 or 5 times for taking Facebook & Family photos where, especially, scenic backgrounds exist....Russ

My Darling Dawn, I will carry you over the cliffs of Dover or give you an alternative route via a map! & just to clarify for others, we scoot BELOW some beautiful over hanging river cliffs---15' over the water... the trek walk is on some rocks, however, Dawn is afraid of heights....So, 15' looks different to some, than others....So far, everyone, including Dawn has done this walk...Anyone concerned, can go with Dawn....We will save you a seat at Chaplins..:)..
