Sorry to have to send out another email about No shows, but I am forced to have to do a few changes.
We had over 40 no shows to last nights event. We still had a great turn-out because of the unusually large number of walk-ins because of another close by event.
What I have previously been doing is......When someone no shows, I have been sending out emails to them stating that they missed a particular event and hoping everything is okay and reminding them on how many no shows they have. You could imagine that this takes up a lot of time.
I will no longer be sending these emails, I will be posting the number of no shows you have under your name. Until you get to your final no show, then you will receive an email.
I DO NOT LIKE REMOVING ANYONE!! This is nothing personal towards anyone!!
I do take into account how many events you physically come to.
I love posting events for the group!!! It's makes a lot of people happy!!
I just need everyone's support. I tell venues a potential final count, then lots of no shows, it hurts the entire group. I hope you all understand.
PLEASE, make sure you check in with the main host of the event. It is your responsibility to do this. Some events we do not check in people and will not keep track of the no shows.
If you ever have a question about a no show I put up for you, please don't get upset, contact me, I really am a nice person!! :-) :-)
There are so many great events being posted among the meet up world. We need to help the organizers, by keeping track of what events we sign up for. I see people signing up for two events on the same night at the same time on 2 different sides of town....they are talented folks. :-)
I assume if you can't understand why I am writing this email, it means you have never organized an event that failed because of no shows. The only way people tend to understand is...if you were ever in an Organizer's shoes.
Thanks for listening and understanding!!! :-)
I want to see everyone out having fun real soon!!!!! Meeting people is the reason we join, right??
My door is always open for constructive comments!
