September Book Club

We discussed book ideas at the July book club...and decided to go for a "classics" theme, which happened to coincide with "Back to School" month!

For September please read "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee and/or "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger.

I haven't read "To Kill a Mockingbird" since high school, and never ready "The Catcher in the Rye" so I'm pretty excited to do so! When we were discussing books everyone seemed pretty excited about these two- whether from nostalgia or realizing they missed reading one....so we will be discussing both at our September meeting! As time/your interest permits, feel free to read one or the other or both! :)

Any suggestions for a location?

I'm reading the books for this month, but sadly can't attend (I'm now on bedrest). Hope your pregnancy is going well Susan and have a good time!!

Thanks Janet! You too! I've got about 5 weeks. I'm getting a little impatient!

How about Jax cafe, Ike's food and cocktails, Sparks, Eat Street Social, or The Sample Room...?

I called last Friday to make reservations at Northeast Social....they said they would call back if they couldn't accommodate our size- but I have not heard anything yet so I'm assuming we are good!

If you find that you can't make it, please update your RSVP so I can adjust our reservation if need be.

    See you all Wednesday! :)
