OK folks, here it is...a brief synopsis from Tammy on our plan for the July 20 weekend trip! I hope to get a better idea of the difficulty rating in the next day or so. I would plan for a 3, and we can subdivide into smaller groups for varying pace purposes, if needed.
Friday night: camping at Finland State Forest Saturday: Crosby Manitou State Park to Caribou River (~8 miles) Saturday night: camping at Caribou River Multi-group campsite Sunday: Caribou River to Sugar Loaf Road (~4 miles)
If you are signed up for this trip, you should already be getting the "private" emails sent directly to your email from the other people who are going on the trip. If you are not on this email chain, let me know ASAP so that you don't get left out of the loop!
It looks like we have a fun group signed up to go. This should be a fun weekend! See you on the trail soon!
“ Awesome event. Met lots of wonderful people had a blast. The marshmallow stealing mouse was the absolute cutest. Lakes with waterfalls, the most delicious food a starving man could want, beautiful vistas and a group that really came together whenever things got tough. ”
“ From Crosby Manitou going north, the first ~4 miles is hilly and therefore challenging. The water fall by Caribou River campsite is awesome. The mouse who stole our pink marshmallow, the circular massaging, and the mine field were definitely highlights. Loved the team work and congrats to all newbies for making it through! ”
