Introduction
I helped start this group and led the 1st trip so I think that puts me in Hall of Fame status - haha! I am a hippie backpacker and do it for the love and connection I feel with nature, and man I love sleeping in a tent and power hammocking!
Can you think of a location you'd like to hike with the Backpackers group?
Superior Hiking Trail and BWCWA are my favorites.
What's your favorite part of being out in nature, away from civilization?
It opens my eyes and heart to the natural rhythm and flow of existance all while humbling and amazing me. I am very social so I don't usually like to go into the wilderness alone, for me it is an experience best shared with others.
Are you a beginning backpacker? Or are you more experienced?
Experienced. I taught many of these guys all my secret special techniques, so if they do something a little weird or funny, you can blame me. :)
