Backpacking NCT Cheguamegon Forest June 22-24

Hi, I'm a member here, but I live in Iowa. I am planning a trip this weekend over to Northern Wisconsin. Shuttle and route already planned. Just need a few more buddies to join in. If you want to backpack with the Iowa corn Desert Hiking and Adventure Group look us up. The trip is still in the suggested meetup tab. Let me know if you plan to come by Wednesday night so I can give you more details. A little about me: I love backpacking. I've done Missouri Ozarks twice, Colorado 14ers, SHT x3, BWCA, and a few places in Iowa over the past 3 years. If you have not backpacked before, this won't be the trip for you to start on.

-Jen R.

Backpack 3 days on the NCT in Wisconsin in the Chequamegon Forest. West Bound starting at Long Mile Lookout Section through Drummon, WI. 21.4 mile trek. Average 7 miles a day.

Thursday, June 21
Depart late afternoon from Iowa. RSVP so we can discuss meetup car pools privately. Camp near Drummond, WI

Friday, June 22-Sunday, June 24
Meet Bear Country Store in Drummond for Shuttle ($50 for one van) Hike through kettle moraines, see Long Mile Lookout tower, pass lakes, fishing oportunities Saturday. Friday will have the most elevation differences.

Water sources-lakes, but be able to carry 3 liters

I am not thinking this as an easy hike, I have not been here before. It will be moderate... and fun.
