On Friday, June 20th, join Animal Rights Coalition (ARC) for leafleting outside of U.S. Bank’s headquarters. We will be distributing literature and talking with passerby, and encouraging them to divest in U.S. Bank due to the company’s financing of animal experimentation.
U.S. Bank National Association is the largest investor in Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), a company that experiments on animals and has a particularly horrible record. Seven different undercover investigations have revealed the horrors and faulty science occurring in HLS’s labs, ranging from poisoning animals with diet pills, sweetener, and household products, to punching Beagle puppies in the face. Their animal experimentation is completely unnecessary and only serves to maim and kill animals. We will be leafleting and asking people to reconsider supporting U.S. Bank in light of them financially supporting HLS, and making it possible for them to kill 500 animals every day in terrible ways.
Being out there does make a difference. Many people have switched banks after finding out about US Bank's ties with HLS and people have also been on their way to open an account and actually turned around and left for another financial institution after speaking with us, too.
