True Colors Bookstore in Minneapolis will be hosting Bread & Love: An Evening of Short Fiction from Local Published & Aspiring Writers at 6pm, Aug 9.


Our primary objective is to raise the profiles of the short story and poetry and to discover exciting new literary talent in Minneapolis. We all know it's there; it's high time it was heard. Any subject, genre or theme is welcomed. Please email your submissions.


Pieces should be no longer than 7 minutes in length when read aloud. Ideally everyone will get a chance to read regardless, but should we get an absolute flood of submissions (fingers crossed!) we will have to choose a few for this evening and hold on to the rest for next month. And of course, please bring along folks who like a good story -- that's what this night is all about!


True Colors Bookstore is located at 4755 Chicago Ave. So
