I'm going to get there a little after 430 but here's an idea, why doesn't someone have a sign that simply says "meetup" and hold it or pin it to your shirt? That's what the other groups do and I've always found them. I have had a really hard time connecting to the group members at events as well. But only this particular group.

These are smaller groups. Generally with any Meet Up there tends to be a big drop out rate. If I had a sign or a pin on me, it would mean that strangers would come up and know my name and ask me questions about Meet Up. Plenty of times there has been no one that showed up and well, then... that would not be much fun for me to be explaining what Meet Up is to strangers. I have done that without the banner or name tag, but there are plenty of other things to just talk about with others that are there for the same event and they were not there for the Meet Up part of it. Instead, I still go to the events that I would have gone to on my own and enjoy them as I have in the past. When some people show up and introduce themselves, then we have a bit more fun. They get to something that that maybe they would not have gone to on their own before.

I'd say the dropout rate is about the same as high school in LA

The ampitheatre doesn't have any seats, just an open area, so bring a lawnchair or blanket to sit on. Also theres no alcohol or glass containers allowed in the park. The weather should be partly cloudy and in the low 70's : )

I have been to other events like this but I haven't known how to find the others attending.

I haven't been there before, but I'll email my cell number the day before. :)

If you click n the Frank Rog Ampitheater above and zoom in you will see where the theater is. Up the hill is the restroom building an upside down and backwards L. If people were to hover around there on the hour and 1/2 hour you would be able to run into each other a bit easier. If I go, I will bring a red print umbrella that I will open up when possible. I have a lot of things on my schedule this week end, so I might be missing this event. It's a great location for free music though. Check it out!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
