I see the Young Jazz group that I am part of has scheduled this as well. Always a great show and great venue!
Tuesday, 18 December 2012 The Artists' Quarter's hottest night opens with the Cory Wong Quartet featuring Zachary Schmidt on drums, Cory J. Wong on guitar, Andy Schuster on bass and Dan M. Musselman or Kevin Gastonguay on piano starting at 7:00 P.M. Cory Wong has been called one of the most versatile and exciting musicians in the Twin Cities, and has been featured in several publications and websites, including NPR, MPR, and Mpls/St. Paul magazine. His song “Upstream” was the first solo guitar recording to be in the video game “Rock Band”. Cory has also recently taken over as the Production Manager for Innovative Multiemedia Studios, and Secret Stash Records. The early set is free.
Dean Magraw is more than a guitar virtuoso. His utter unity with the instrument creates a musical experience that emanates from the stage, but cascades over the room in sheets of rejuvenating spirit. Magraw’s many musical associations have included a long-time duo run with Peter Ostroushko, stints with Ruth McKenzie, Claudia Schmidt and Greg Brown, and an acclaimed 2006 recording with Chicago heavy hitter John Williams. Dean won the NAIRD 1994 Best Acoustic Instrumental Album of the Year for his solo debut, Broken Silence.
