The plan for the first Minnesota OpenStack Meetup has been confirmed as follows:
Everyone will meet at the Cisco office at 3:30. We'll do some short introductions and mingling initially, and then jump right into Colin McNamara's presentation on "Surviving your first check-in: An engineers guide to contributing to OpenStack." Colin's presentation is quite spectacular, and should give those new to OpenStack development a great introduction!
After that, we'll have a devstack installfest. Please bring a laptop with some form of virtualization software (e.g. VMware Fusion/Workstation, VirtualBox, etc.) It would also help if you had an Ubuntu 12.04 image ready to go, but we can provide those as well. We'll get everyone up and running with a devstack image on their laptops by the end of the night!
Pizza will arrive towards the end of the evening. We will provide sodas and water as well.
Also, we have some "OpenStack@Cisco" T-Shirts to hand out to attendees as well.
NOTE: Please unicast me (Kyle Mestery) your name, company, and email address so I can get you access to the guest WiFi at the Cisco office. Send me a message with this info to me on the Meetup here, or on LinkedIn, as I'd prefer not to leave my email address here in the comments.
Lastly, if you're interested in a happy hour after the Meetup, we may do that as well.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday!
