Current for 2013 Dues

  • No location was chosen

  • Current 2013 Dues of $20 are required to attend any "On the Water" Events.

The Dues must be on file in our office. Sailors may be "Bumped Off" Sailing Events if they are not Current for Dues. It is unfair to expect boat owners that are holding events to collect money, make change, etc. as you come aboard, and then relay the (often wet & illegible) Dues to me. It is also possible that they are not allowed to collect Dues at the Marina where they keep their boat.

You Cannot RSVP for this "Event". Once your 2013 Dues have been received, I will add you to this list of Sailors that are current. Members who are Current with their 2013 Dues will have the title "Sailor" added to their Name

Dues are used to pay for administrative costs, events and improved sailing opportunities for the club. We are required to show at least some profit by the IRS for the next 3 years or endanger our ability to write off operating expenses.

    A Few Examples of our Costs include;

    Website Costs

    PayPal Fees

    Bank Fees

    MN Sales Tax

    Bookkeeping and Accounting Labor

    Office Expense

    Event Fees

Dues may be paid online through PayPal or you can send a check. Checks are sometimes deposited only one or two times a month. Mail your check to:

    Minnesota Sailing Alliance
    6915 Oakland Ave.
    Richfield, MN 55423

    Are children allowed to participate?

    September 19, 2013

    • Jim H.

Children are not generally allowed and they get pretty bored on sailboats. Some children have gone out by special arrangement.

And will Max the wonder dog be joining us this year? I don't see him on the dues and waiver.

    • Jim H.

Max is not only retired from sailing, but Meetup kicked him out of MSA for not participating.
