Are happy to announce Secular Labor Day Weekend at Sechler Park

Come to beautiful Sechler Park for a Labor Day Weekend potluck picnic. Meet new free-thinking friends from a variety of freethought groups in Minnesota, perhaps beyond. Sechler Park is secluded and has a wonderful play area for children, so be sure to bring the whole family!

Minnesota Atheists will host a Geocaching fundraiser in the park. A GPS will be available for those who wish to participate but do not own a GPS.

That afternoon, weather permitting, Crystal and Vic can take anyone interested to a nearby town about a 15 minute drive from the park to do some easy fossil hunting, also kid-friendly. (See Vic's blog for information and pictures of various fossils found at the site.)

Please bring picnic food to share. (electrical outlets are available in the shelter)

Bring your own beverages, and no glass please! Also, please bring camp chairs/lawn chairs if possible to accommodate what we hope will be a large group.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: (We'll have mileage down closer to the date of the event for everyone.)

Coming from 35 N or S, Take Northfield exit onto Highway 19 heading East toward Northfield, MN.

Just past St. Olaf's College, take a right on Armstrong Road.

Follow Armstrong Road to signs for Sechler Park on your left. We have the shelter reserved.
