We're going to be starting a new book club meeting focused on some graphic novels that are "hidden gems". Each month a book will be pre-selected and offered at a 20% discount. Then on the first Wednesday of the month we'll meet to discuss the book.
For the first meeting, we've selected a Persepolis, the autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi about growing up in Iran. First published in France in 2000, this book might not be so much of a "hidden gem". But it is an older book, deserving of more attention, especially in the newish "all-in-one" edition.
