Breakfast Book Club

Mississauga

The book for Jan NW by Zadie Smith

What could be better than books and breakfast?

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet members with the same interests. The Breakfast Book Club will be meeting once a month, at 10:30 AM on the last Sunday of each month.

The group will be choosing the books. The series of books will be posted and all you book lovers can attend monthly events. This is an opportunity to expand our social events and keep connected with all the members.

As a group we will select one book to read each month and share our ideas and impressions of that book.

Join us for an interesting discussion even if you have not read the book.

The discussion will be led by Naomi. Ideas and respectful opinions are most welcome from all attendees.

Lots of free parking.

Just thought I'd throw in a couple of suggestions: 1) The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields. I have not yet read it but I've had several people recommend it to me. It is a fictional autobiography. 2) Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a nonfiction autobiographical account of this woman's trials and triumphs over religious, political and cultural issues. And, I also love anything by Rohinton Mistry

Hi Naomi and fellow book lovers. I apologize for missing this discussion as I had a conflict at home. I was struggling with getting into the book and would have loved to hear how others connected with it. Hope you have a great week and I look forward to next months book selection meeting. See you then!

We missed you. Do you have any good books to recommend?

Thank you -- I wish I could have made it -- and it looks like the general consensus was the book was not so good. But then that's the purpose of book clubs. Read stuff out of your comfort zone. The books I have read -- have likely been read by all... But my all time favourite book was The Book Thief and the move was an amazing adaption.

Hello attendees, I was very enjoying today's gathering, I wasn't intimidated at all, I felt very warm atmosphere, met nice people. I couldn't reflect on the book, it's obvious why, however, the discussion was expended to the life experiences, which I could participate, and it was very interesting, how people can interpret it, I love it. I am glad, I came, and I looking forward to the next one.
I mentioned about the free of charge app's link for the audio book titled "Magesty of Calmness" written by William George Jordan.
    Link to the app: http:librivox.bookdesign.biz/book/2664
Click the tab Genres, click sublime Psychology, find the book. Have nice Sunday.

I will come first time to the Breakfast Book Club, which it would be a little out of my comfort zone, however, this will be even more exciting, or more intimidating, hopefully the former would prevail. See you there.

We are a very friendly group and not intimidating in the least. Usually we end up laughing a lot with each other.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
