I'm an aspiring author. I intend to publish soon (fingers crossed)...but in the meantime, I need to finish my book.  I sincerely need to connect with other serious-minded fiction and non-fiction writers in Mitchellville, MD--to keep me focused. I discovered a few writers' groups in Virginia and lots in DC but want to stay in the MD suburbs so I don't have to venture too far from home on the weekends or after a long day's work. I'm serious about my craft and I'd like to meet with 7 to 9 folks twice a month or so we can keep each other on track, give moral support, etc.  Is there anyone out there who will join me? I mean, I can't be the only writer in the Bowie/Mitchellville area, can I? Ideally, we'll gather a diverse group of men and women at each meeting. Diverse perspectives seem to net the best insight and opinions regarding a person's work, I think. I propose we meet regularly, twice a month, at the Woodmore Town Center in the Wegman's cafe. We will encourage, provide constructive critiques, and inspire each other to reach our writing goals.
